Access to BMJ LEARNING 
 
The MMA has purchased access to BMJ Learning from 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2011 for all MMA members. Members will be able to obtain CPD points from the BMJ Learning programme.

Those interested are requested to email their details to cpd@mma.org.my

Each completed and passed module in BMJ Learning will earn you 1 CME point.  All users are advised to register so that you can print your certificates to get CPD points and submit to the MMA.

  • CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD)
    CPD points in future will be important in renewal of the Annual Practicing Certificate. Non-members have to pay an annual fee of RM50.00 for registration of CPD points with the Malaysian Medical Council. For MMA members, this is done for you absolutely free.

  • PUBLICATIONS
    The monthly issue of BERITA MMA keeps you abreast of what's happening to the medical profession. The MEDICAL JOURNAL OF MALAYSIA, the main journal of the association whose articles are indexed in the INDEX MEDICUS will be sent to you (upon request). The SINGAPORE MEDICAL JOURNAL can be subscribed directly from the Singapore Medical Association.

  • SCHOMOS (SECTION CONCERNING HOUSE OFFICERS, MEDICAL OFFICERS AND SPECIALISTS)
    The Government doctors section of the MMA. Problems can be channeled through your representatives at the State and National levels. The ExCo meets officials from the Ministry of Health, Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA), etc. on a regular basis. MMA is your voice!! YOUR CALL ALLOWANCES NOW IS BECAUSE OF THIS!!!

  • PPSMMA (PRIVATE PRACTITIONERS SECTION OF MMA)
    The private doctors section of the MMA. Looks after the welfare of doctors in the private sector. Advise on getting started in private practice and a voice for the important policy issues affecting private sector doctors.
  • DIRECT ACCESS CREDIT CARDS
    Visa and Master cards (basic and gold) are available with no joining or annual fee - a saving up to RM200.00 annually. Supplementary cards are also available on similar terms.
