The Organising Committee warmly invites you to join us at this Conference to be held for the first time in Penang. Emergency Medicine is a field of practice based on the knowledge and skills required for the diagnosis and management of the acute and urgent aspects of illness and injury affecting patients of all age groups. It is a speciality in which time is critical.
The two and a half days’ programme will consists of lectures on emergencies in children, chest pain, breathlessness, asthmatic attack, transient loss of consciousness and management of the unconscious patient to name a few. Resuscitation, anaphylaxis, solvent toxicity, airway obstruction and wound management represent some of the other topics.
This Conference is a wonderful opportunity to update yourself. Medical Practitioners, medical students and Allied Health Professionals will certainly benefit from the wide array of lectures.
On Thursday, 24/4/2008 there will be a Pre-Conference CPR Workshop.
On Saturday, 26/4/2008 the MMA Penang Branch will hold a dinner and dance on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the branch. All registered participants are invited to the dinner.

REGISTRATION for the Conference
· The registration fee for members of the Malaysian Medical Association, Malaysian Government doctors, medical students and paramedical staff is RM300.50 (including bank commission)
· The registration fee for Malaysian doctors who are not members of the MMA and all others is RM400.50 (including bank commission)
The fee includes conference materials, lunches, tea breaks and dinner on 26th April 2008 but does not include the CPR course.
